The House GOP is scrambling to revive its repeal of the Affordable Care Act and revive a bipartisan bill to help lower health care costs.
House Republicans on Monday failed to advance their health care legislation as Democrats demanded an immediate vote on the legislation.
Democrats want a vote as early as Wednesday on a $1.2 trillion bill that would roll back ObamaCare taxes and subsidies.
The House passed the bill with an overwhelming 217-201 vote in December.GOP leadership is trying to rally support for the bill, which they have long called the “Better Care Reconciliation Act.”
But they are struggling to make headway on the measure, which has not received any Republican votes.
