Ixil Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment, announced on Monday that it would be the developer of a new “multi-platform” title based on a game that is already in development for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The title, Ixiles Adventure: The Lost City of the Gods, will launch as a free game for both platforms and will be playable at E3 in June, the company said.
The game will be developed by Ixils team.
Ixila Entertainment CEO David Grosz said the title was a collaboration between Ixilia and Microsoft and that it is “the next step in Ixillia’s long history of building innovative games for multiple platforms.”
Ixilic will be a follow-up to a long-running series of “Ixil Games,” the company’s first original title.
The Lost Cities of the gods is the first Ixilla title to be developed exclusively for PlayStation 4.
Iyana Kukulichuk, the director of marketing and business development for Ixili Entertainment, said the project will include an original story and a narrative campaign that “tells the story of a journey to the Lost City where you will be part of a band of explorers.”
Iyila Entertainment is a subsidiary and wholly owned subsidiary of Ixllia Entertainment, which was established in 1997 by Iyaz Tovar, who is also an investor in Microsoft.
IYI is the parent company of Iyillia Entertainment.
Iygax Entertainment is the independent publisher of the Ixilli franchise.
Izild Entertainment, Iyil Entertainment’s parent company, is a separate entity from Iyilia Entertainment.
The company was founded in 2012 and has been involved in the development of a number of franchises, including The Lost Kingdoms of Greece, The Lost Gods of Europe, and The Lost Lands of the Dwarves.
Iyxile Entertainment, founded in 2006, is one of the largest independent developers in the game development world, according to GamesIndustry.biz.
