Plan B entertainment’s new TV channel, the Black Entertainment Television (BET) channel, will debut in New Jersey on Friday, the company announced Monday.
The channel will debut at a price of $7.99 per month for a one-year subscription, which includes access to BET’s award-winning live programming.
BET is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The BET channel, which will be broadcast in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is expected to have a strong viewership among young black men.
BET’s first season is expected in 2020.
The network is a joint venture between BET Networks, Inc. and Sony Pictures Television.
The first BET series, BET America, will premiere on June 16, 2020.
BET will also debut a slate of new programs in the fall of 2020.
